As an adventure elopement & engagement photographer (and licensed hiking guide!), I don't just show up and click a button. I help you scout the perfect location, coordinate the timing, and hide in the bushes (literally) to capture the raw, emotional moment that you drop to a knee.

When planning an adventure shoot in the mountains, it's about creating an experience that is meaningful to the two of you. I'm not here to do an hour's worth of "nice portraits". "RELAX & BREATHE" PLANNING
Helping you plan your perfect experience is part of the fun! Once you book with me, I'll help you choose a location that fits your hiking ability and vibe - whether its a dramatic lookout, by a lake, or in a forest.
Secret proposal? Well, that requires a top secret planning strategy! Surprise proposals require a game plan, and in addition to giving you all the information you need regarding your location ahead of time, I'll also either be hiding or have a "decoy" plan so that your partner doesn't suspect a thing.
THE "NON PHOTO PERSON" CURE
Feeling awkward in front of the camera? That’s my specialty. Engagement sessions should feel like a fun hike with a friend who happens to have a camera. I focus on movement and genuine connection rather than stiff poses. By the time we reach the trailhead, you’ll forget I’m even there.

So, here's the thing. Lots of photographers use SEO tricks to make you think that they are local or have expertise in the area just to get a "free trip".
I consider it a great honor to share this place that I love with couples like you. Whether we’re hiking to a High Peak in the Adirondacks or exploring a lookout in the Catskills, I’m there to keep you safe and prepared. I carry the "extra" stuff so you don't have to worry. And yes, I've been known to bring up all the makings for a celebratory picnic so that your partner doesn't suspect anything!
EXPERTISE
I photographed my first elopement in 2015, and before that I worked as a sports photographer. I'm proud to say that I have never photographed the same elopement twice- after all, your adventure session deserves to be as unique as you are! And I promise that you will love your photos!
In addition to being an expert in telling your story through photography, especially all the little moments, I'm also a licensed New York hiking guide and a Wilderness First Responder. Why this matters for elopements: Couples are often overwhelmed by the logistics of planning a session in the wild. I'm here to solve that problem for you, not only as a licensed hiking guide trained as a Wilderness First Responder, but also as a guide to creating your perfect experience for you.

Most couples choose to celebrate their engagement or relationship in the mountains because they want an experience centered on connection, not constantly posing and feeling as if they are putting on a show.
